Review: In my high school we have watched Pleasantville for class. Recently, I decided to watch it again since I could not recall the plot exactly, but had a feeling that I enjoyed it. Anyway, I watched it again today. I guess the director aimed it to be a cult movie. However, it is too weak to be a candidate. It kind of resembles Zathura in terms of the idea and the book The Giver. Well, I can call The Giver as a classic, because it has a stronger story. Pleasantville is full of symbols that are extracted from history. There is even a reference to famous Apple incident. I believe that these tools are too weak to impress the adults. It is in fact more suited to teenagers.
